| Katya Belaia is a Ukrainian-born
painter, working and living in London. In 2010 she was awarded a
Postgraduate Diploma in Conservation of Easel Paintings by the Courtauld
Institute of Art, London. At the Courtuald, Katya was the first receipient
of the Zena Walker scholarship from the National Association of the
Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NADFAS). Her first degree is in Fine Art
and History of Art (BA Hons) from Goldsmiths College, University of London
(2006). Earlier, Katya received formal art training from Igor Ermolov,
Member of the USSR Guild of Artists and completed an Anatomy for Artists
course at University College London. In 2007 her art work was commissioned by
the Portuguese Design Centre (President Henrique Cayatte), in the quarterly art magazine
Egoista. One of Katya’s most recent painting commissions
was from the Royal Artillery, commemorating their duties as Queen’s
Guards. |
