| Katya Belaia is a Ukrainian-born
painter, working and living in London. She is a Postgraduate
student in the Conservation of Easel Paintings at the Courtauld
Institute of Art, London. Katya is a Scholar of the National
Association of the Decorative and Fine Arts Society (NADFAS).
Her first degree is in Fine Art and History of Art (BA Hons
Goldsmiths College, University of London, 2006). Katya received
formal art training from Igor Ermolov, Member of the USSR Guild
of Artists and has completed an Anatomy for Artists course at
University College London. In 2007 her art work was commissioned by the Portuguese
Design Centre (President Henrique Cayatte), in the quarterly art magazine
Egoista. One of Katya’s most recent painting commissions
was from the Royal Artillery, commemorating their duties as Queen’s
Guards. |

Katya is the 2007 recipient of the Zena Walker (ZADFAS) Scholarship.
Awarded First Prize at the 2002 Open Contemporary Art Competition
